TOBACCO CESSATION BENEFIT COVERED BY MO HEALTHNET
Tobacco cessation counseling and nicotine replacement are covered Medicaid benefits. Missouri Medicaid (MO HealthNet) participants with behavioral or pharmacy benefits can receive:
- Nicotine patches and gum
- Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved medication
- Individual counseling
- Group counseling
The attached flier describes the tobacco cessation benefit, and it will be made available to all MO Health Net providers in Missouri.
