Kirksville, MO 1/19/22 – The overall COVID-19 case count for Adair County jumped to 5,136 today as the Adair County Health Department confirmed 102 new cases.
Females are ages 2, 3, 6, two age 7, 12, two age 13, two age 15, 16, two age 17, 19, eight age 20, two age 21, three age 22, 24, five age 25, four age 26, 27, five age 28, 35, 37, 42, two age 44, 48, four age 49, 51, 52, 55, three age 59, 60 and 71.
Males are ages 1 month, 4 months, 5, 10, two age 15, 16, two age 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, three age 22, 24, two age 25, 26, two age 28, 29, 33, 35, 38, 43, two age 48, 50, 52, 54, 55, 56, 58, 60, 61, 62, 64, 75 and 78.
Among today’s 102 cases, 16 are in the K-12 schools sector, 11 are in the higher education sector and six are employees of skilled nursing facilities. Thirty-four cases are breakthrough infections.
The Adair County Health Department recommends that all county residents ages 5 and older get vaccinated against COVID-19 and all residents ages 16 and older get vaccinated and boosted. Vaccines are easily accessible, free, and continue to demonstrate that they prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death.
Adult vaccination clinics are scheduled for Tuesdays in January and pediatric vaccination clinics are scheduled for Thursdays in the month. An adult clinic is scheduled from 2-4 p.m., Jan. 25. Pediatric clinics are from 3-5 p.m., Jan. 20 and 27. Residents should call the Health Department at 660-665-8491 to schedule an appointment.
