Kirksville, MO 1/13/22 – The Adair County Health Department confirmed another 55 new cases of COVID-19 among residents today. They include seven in the K-12 schools sector, 15 in the higher education sector, and 14 breakthrough infections.

Cases include two five-year-old females and other females ages 6, 8, 11, two age 15, 17, three age 18, three age 19, four age 20, 21, 23, 28, 32, 33, two age 38, 41, 46, 52, two age 54, 59, 62, 66, two age 68 and 77.

Males are ages 15, two age 18, 19, three age 21, 22, 27, 29, 30, 39, 40, 44, 50, 60, 76, 77 and 83.

The Adair County Health Department recommends that all county residents ages 5 and older get vaccinated against COVID-19 and all residents ages 16 and older get vaccinated and boosted. Vaccines are easily accessible, free, and continue to demonstrate that they prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death.

Adult vaccination clinics are scheduled for Tuesdays in January and pediatric vaccination clinics are scheduled for Thursdays in the month. Adult clinics are from 2-4 p.m., Jan. 18 and 25. Pediatric clinics are from 3-5 p.m., Jan. 20 and 27. Residents should call the Health Department at 660-665-8491 to schedule an appointment.
