The Adair County Health Department is hosting its annual school supply drive-through on Friday, Aug. 4, at 1001 South Jamison Street in Kirksville. Staff of the Health Department will be handing out bags from 10 a.m. until supplies run out.
The bags contain a variety of school supplies and personal essentials for children in pre-K through Grade 12. Contents differ according to age, pre-K, K-6th grade, and 7th to 12th grade. The back-to-school bags are courtesy of the Adair County Health Department and community sponsors.
The Health Department is also raffling small prizes for free. There will be four prizes for students and two for parents. Entrants will need to write their name and phone number on the raffle ticket, and there is only one ticket per person. You can enter during the drive-through event or any time before the event by visiting the Clinic lobby. Winners will be contacted after the back-to-school bag supplies run out.
If residents have any questions regarding the school supply event or raffle, call the Adair County Health Department at 660-665-8491, extension 749.
