Kirksville, MO 2/23/22 – The six new cases of COVID-19 confirmed today by the Adair County Health Department puts the county’s overall case total at 6,003. New cases include females ages 17, 22, 42 and 58, and males ages 39 and 61.

There is one case each in the K-12 schools, higher education, and congregate living facility sectors. One case is a breakthrough infection.

The Adair County Health Department recommends that all county residents ages 5 and older get vaccinated against COVID-19 and all residents ages 16 and older get vaccinated and boosted. No vaccines are 100% effective at preventing disease. However, the COVID-19 vaccines are easily accessible, free, and continue to demonstrate that they prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death.
