Kirksville, MO 2/10/22 – The Adair County Health Department confirmed 21 new cases of COVID-19 today bringing the overall case count to 5,902.

Today’s cases include four in the K-12 school sector and two in the higher education sector, and three in the skilled nursing facility sector. Ten cases are breakthrough infections.

Ages of today’s confirmed cases range from ages 6 to 75. Eleven cases are males and ten are females. Breakdown by age group is as follows:

0-9 years: 1
10-19 years: 3
20-29 years: 4
30-39 years: 2
40-49 years: 3
50-59 years: 1
60-69 years: 4
70-79 years: 3
80-89 years: 0
90-99 years: 0

The Adair County Health Department recommends that all county residents ages 5 and older get vaccinated against COVID-19 and all residents ages 16 and older get vaccinated and boosted. Vaccines are easily accessible, free, and continue to demonstrate that they prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death.
