Kirksville, MO 1/5/22 – Another 43 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed today by the Adair County Health Department. The overall case count is now 4,571.

Cases involve females ages 13, 16, 18, two age 20, 21, 23, two age 24, 25, four age 26, three age 27, 28, 31, 36, 38, 41, two age 44, 53, 57 and 76. Males include two 1-year-olds, and other ages 15, 25, two age 26, three age 29, 31, 39, 41, 43, 44, 65 and 68.

Four cases are in the K-12 schools sector, three are in the higher education sector, and 12 are breakthrough infections.

The Adair County Health Department recommends that all county residents ages 5 and older get vaccinated against COVID-19 and all residents ages 16 and older get vaccinated and boosted. Vaccines are easily accessible, free, and continue to demonstrate that they prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death.

Adult vaccination clinics are scheduled for the four Tuesdays in January and pediatric vaccination clinics are scheduled for the four Thursdays in the month. Adult clinics are from 2-4 p.m., Jan. 11, 18 and 25. Pediatric clinics are from 3-5 p.m., tomorrow, and Jan. 13, 20 and 27.
