Kirksville, MO 1/10/22 – Today, the Adair County Health Department confirmed 60 new cases of COVID-19 among residents since Friday. The overall case count is now 4,703.
New cases involve females ages 1, 3, 6, 9, two age 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18, two age 20, two age 21, three age 22, two age 23, two age 25, two age 27, 28, two age 31, 33, 39, 41, 44, 48, 50, 53, 58, 60, 74 and 86.
Males are ages 12, 14, 16, 20, 21, two age 22, 24, 26, 29, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 52, 54, 57, 58, 63, 74 and 79.
Five of today’s cases are in the higher education sector and 13 are in the K-12 schools sector. Twenty-one are breakthrough infections.
The Adair County Health Department recommends that all county residents ages 5 and older get vaccinated against COVID-19 and all residents ages 16 and older get vaccinated and boosted. Vaccines are easily accessible, free, and continue to demonstrate that they prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death.
Adult vaccination clinics are scheduled for Tuesdays in January and pediatric vaccination clinics are scheduled for Thursdays in the month. Adult clinics are from 2-4 p.m., tomorrow, and Jan. 18 and 25. Pediatric clinics are from 3-5 p.m., Jan. 13, 20 and 27.
