Kirksville, MO 1/11/22 – The Adair County Health Department today confirmed 58 new cases of COVID-19. The one-day total brings the overall case count to 4,761. Among the today’s cases are six each in the K-12 schools and higher education sectors and nine breakthrough infections.

Females are ages 1, 3, two age 4, 12, 13, 17, 18, two age 20, 21, three age 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, two age 27, 28, 31, 39, 40, 43, 52, 53, 58, 61, 66 and 82.

Males are ages 2, 3, two age 8, 10, 12, 17, 18, three age 19, 20, three age 21, 22, two age 25, 26, 27, two age 29, two age 35, 38, 42 and 51.

The Adair County Health Department recommends that all county residents ages 5 and older get vaccinated against COVID-19 and all residents ages 16 and older get vaccinated and boosted. Vaccines are easily accessible, free, and continue to demonstrate that they prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death.

Adult vaccination clinics are scheduled for Tuesdays in January and pediatric vaccination clinics are scheduled for Thursdays in the month. Adult clinics are from 2-4 p.m., Jan. 18 and 25. Pediatric clinics are from 3-5 p.m., Jan. 13, 20 and 27. Residents should call the Health Department at 660-665-8491 to schedule an appointment.
