Kirksville, MO 1/25/22 – The Adair County Health Department confirmed 55 new cases of COVID-19 today, bringing the overall case total to 5,421.
Among the 55 new cases are seven in the K-12 schools sector and three in the higher education sector. There are 13 known breakthrough infections.
Ages of confirmed cases range from 6 to 77 years. Twenty-four cases involve females and 31 are males. Breakdown by age group is as follows:
0-9 years: 3
10-19 years: 6
20-29 years: 14
30-39 years: 5
40-49 years: 10
50-59 years: 10
60-69 years: 3
70-79 years: 4
The Adair County Health Department recommends that all county residents ages 5 and older get vaccinated against COVID-19 and all residents ages 16 and older get vaccinated and boosted. Vaccines are easily accessible, free, and continue to demonstrate that they prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death.
