Kirksville, MO 2/8/22 – The Adair County Health Department today confirmed 27 new cases of COVID-19 today bringing the overall case count to 5865.

Today’s cases include six in the K-12 schools sector and five in the higher education sector. Eleven cases are breakthrough infections.

Ages of today’s confirmed cases range from ages 2 to 75. Fifteen cases are males and twelve are females. Breakdown by age group is as follows:

0-9 years: 5
10-19 years: 4
20-29 years: 4
30-39 years: 1
40-49 years: 4
50-59 years: 3
60-69 years: 2
70-79 years: 3
80-89 years: 1

 

The Adair County Health Department recommends that all county residents ages 5 and older get vaccinated against COVID-19 and all residents ages 16 and older get vaccinated and boosted. Vaccines are easily accessible, free, and continue to demonstrate that they prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death.
