The Adair County Health Department and our community partners have scheduled the 2017 Drive-thru Flu Clinic

on

Wednesday October 4, 2017

When:  Wednesday October 4th, 2017

Time: 12:00pm-6:00pm (all 3 locations)

Where:

Kirksville-NEMO Fairgrounds
Novinger-Fire Station
Brashear-South Side of Square

Who:   All Adair County Residents and their family, Truman students, MACC students and ATSU students are welcome.

Why:   Influenza is a vaccine preventable disease.  When you get your flu shot you help protect you, your family, as well as friends and neighbors. Secondly, you will be participating in an important emergency preparedness exercise for Adair County!

What:  To participate in our drive thru clinic, we simply need a completed Flu Clinic Screening and Consent Form (you can complete this form the day of the event or bring a completed form with you), your car in park, and your arm.  That’s it!

Cost:    The 2017 Drive thru Influenza Clinic is at no cost to participants, however Medicare and Medicaid insurances will be billed for the vaccine.*

*Medicare and Medicaid insurance holders should have their cards available at the clinic.

Note:  People who are ill on clinic day or have been advised not to receive a flu shot by their health provider should not participate in the clinic.

Also note in general, this includes:

Persons that have had a severe reaction or fainted after receiving the vaccine in the past
Individuals that have experienced breathing problems or have an allergy to eggs
A person that is moderately or severely ill (such as fever)
Anyone under age 3
