Kirksville, MO 1/18/22 – Following a three-day weekend, the Adair County Health Department today confirmed 107 new cases of COVID-19. The overall count is now 5,034.

Females are three ages 12, two age 14, 15, two age 16, two age 17, 19, six age 20, 22, 23, four age 24, 25, 27, two age 28, 29, 33, 34, three age 36, three age 39, 40, 41, 44, two age 46, 47, two age 48, 50, 52, 55, 56, 57, 62, 64, 76 and two age 78.

Males are ages 1 month, 1, 6, 11, 13, 14, two age 15, three age 17, 18, seven age 20, two age 21, two age 22, 23, two age 25, 27, 28, two age 32, 36, 37, 39, 40, 42, 43, two age 44, 50, 51, two age 52, 54, 55, 56, 57, 59, 60, 62, 63, 65, 69 and 78.

Among the cases are 19 in the K-12 schools sector, 12 in the higher education sector, and 44 breakthrough infections.

The Adair County Health Department recommends that all county residents ages 5 and older get vaccinated against COVID-19 and all residents ages 16 and older get vaccinated and boosted. Vaccines are easily accessible, free, and continue to demonstrate that they prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death.

Adult vaccination clinics are scheduled for Tuesdays in January and pediatric vaccination clinics are scheduled for Thursdays in the month. An adult clinic is scheduled from 2-4 p.m., Jan. 25. Pediatric clinics are from 3-5 p.m., Jan. 20 and 27. Residents should call the Health Department at 660-665-8491 to schedule an appointment.
