ADAIR COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT REPORTS 11th COVID-19 CASE

Kirksville, MO 4/7/2020 – The Adair County Health Department today reported the 11th confirmed case of Coronavirus COVID-19 in the county since the beginning of the year. Five of those cases have recovered and have been released from isolation. Six cases remain active.

The 11th case is a 76-year-old male who is in isolation. The case is not travel related.

Health Department staff are working in coordination with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) to determine any close contacts of these individuals who were possibly exposed. If there were any, health officials will provide guidance to these individuals and monitor them closely for the development of symptoms.

Per CDC Guidelines, if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, cough or shortness of breath, call your medical provider right away. If you’re experiencing trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, uncharacteristic confusion or inability to arouse, or bluish lips or face, dial 911 immediately.
