IMPORTANT NOTICE!
Solar eclipse glasses purchased by the Health Department through Amazon have been recalled.
Community members that acquired glasses from the health department are being advised to not wear them during the eclipse.

The total solar eclipse occurring on the 21st of August 2017 promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students, faculty, and the general public to enjoy a spectacular celestial event! The eclipse path cuts diagonally across Missouri, and Kirksville will witness an approximately 98.5% parial solar eclipse.

On the day of the eclipse, several solar telescopes and solar binoculars will be set up at each of these locations:
a) Truman State Observatory (University farm),
b) Outside the Del and Norma Robison Planetarium,
c) Moberly Area Community College and,
d) Rotary Park/Adair County Public Library.
